Raymond Weber’s death in hospital: Officials say he died from heart attack

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police said Friday that a man who was shot and killed by police in downtown on Friday was found dead in the hospital.

Officer Raymond Weber was killed while responding to a 911 call about a man with a gun.

The officer’s body was found by a woman who called 911 to report a disturbance, according to a statement from San Antonio Police Department.

Weber was taken to the hospital by ambulance but later died.

Weber’s partner, a man named William Williams, also was killed, the statement said.

Weber, 32, had been on the force for five years, the San Antonio Express-News reported.

The incident is under investigation by the Independent Police Review Authority, the newspaper said.

Police have not released the name of the officer who shot Weber.
